San Francisco 2017
155 Sansome St
Due to the Northern California wildfires, it is with heavy heart that we inform you of our need to postpone our November San Francisco Matter of Taste event. The devastation and loss for Northern California’s wine country last week due to wildfires throughout Napa and Sonoma counties are beyond comparison within our wine world. On October 9th, the Governor of California declared a state of emergency. More than 200,000 acres have burned, 5,700 homes and structures have been destroyed and nearly 75,000 people evacuated. And with the fires still raging in parts of the area, it is not over yet. Authorities believe poor air quality due to smoke will continue in the Bay Area, including San Francisco, for the next few weeks. Taking all these factors beyond our control into account, we believe there could not be a worse time to host an event of this nature than in early November and that our only option is to postpone.
We are currently in discussions with venues to find an alternative date within the first quarter of 2018. All Master Classes, Walkabout components, and Dinners will remain the same but postponed to a later date to be confirmed 10/20/17
