The film chronicles the amazing life of André Tchelistcheff, one the most influential winemakers of the 20th century. André was a larger than life character who humbly said he only followed the lab in his nose. Though not a single bottle of wine bears his name, he taught the California winemakers who
won the famous blind tasting hosted by the aristocratic Englishman, Steven Spurrier, which bested the exalted French wines of their day.
The panels will be moderated by the director Mark Tchelistcheff including winemakers who knew and worked with André including Rob Davis of Jordan Winery, Greg La Follette of Alquimista Winery, Joel Aiken of Aiken Wines and wine writer and former historical producer of Tenuta di Argiano, Count Gelasio Gaetani d'Aragona Lovetelli.
Following the screening and panel, there will be a tasting of wines including Ornellaia, Grgich Hills, Jordan Winery, Alpha Omega, J. Schram, Aiken Wines, Chêne Bleu, Quilceda Creek, Les Trois Croix, Lefkadia Valley, Alquimista, Chateau d'Esclans, Jarvis Estate with special sponsors Beaulieu Vineyards and Sophienwald.
In addition to a movie and wine experience, all attendees will take home an exclusive Sophienwald, hand-made luxury lead-free crystal stemware that is light as a feather with a technical design (A $50 value and is dishwasher safe!)
In addition to enjoying this fantastic, exclusive event, you will automatically be a patron of the arts by attending. A portion of the proceeds from these Screenings will help provide the platform for this important film to be released and shown to the general public in 2019.

"Wine movies are a tough sell. There have been few that have captured the passion that people feel for the process and the journey of winemakers. But due to the subject and the crafting of “André Tchelistcheff: The Voice of Wine,” this is one worth seeking out." - Kelly J Hayes
