Luis Gutiérrez, reviewer for the wines of Spain, Argentina, Chile and Jura presents his first solo book, The New Vignerons, A New Generation of Spanish Winegrowers at Matter of taste in New York. In this tasting he will walk you through the different regions of Spain, where he will profile the growers included in his book, 14 of them in total, covering the geography of the country, from the Canary Islands to Jerez, Rioja, Galicia, Priorat or Ribera del Duero. These growers are some of the most exciting names of the wines from Spain, unearthing forgotten local varieties, wine styles and traditions in a return to the past. You will taste the leading wine from each.
A copy of the book is included in the price of the tasting as well as a VIP top up.
The wines listed are correct at the time of publication but may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event that a vintage or wine is not available on the day of the event, all efforts will be made to find an appropriate substitute.
